GRACELING is the first fantasy I ever read that I was able to follow, fall into and love!
FIRE and BITTERBLUE are amazing too - I just love Cashore's mystical writing!
I am hoping to order all 3 in the UK paperback editions later this summer :)
May have to consider the German editions too, lol!

Book Haul #91: The Shadow Races and More!

Hello booknerds!!!

Where did the week go???

I had some lovely personal memories happen this week...
my nephew, my one and only, turned ONE this week!
AND, he has started to let go and walk long distances like a wobbly pro :)
Yes, I know I have 3 boys of my own, but having a nephew is just the best bonus ever!!! I love him so much - it's such a different kind of love, but it is SO much! I am enjoying every minute watching him grow! And, it's bittersweet seeing my little sister being a mom and a grown-up now, lol! I'm 6 1/2 years older than her, she will always be the 'baby'... 
My baby bee is finally talking more! In between his baby gibberish you can make out words too, which means, he's trying to talk in full sentences already, lol! I really think he's going to outdo his brothers once he gets the hang of it... oh boy! 

I had some lovely bookish memories too!
Don't you just looove it when authors reach out to you, like your tweets or IG pics... 
OH! and when one of your favorite authors follows you back?! *flails*

And lastly, as you can see below, I got a good small stack of new reads this week...
my collection of The Scorpio Races has doubled! I'm hoping to now start collecting foreign editions!

My husband's sister, Ann Marie, was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at the age of 2.
Until a year ago, she has been living a relatively normal and active life... 
Ann Marie is in need of a double-lung transplant now.

As you can see, my hardcover has been very loved - it's one of my ALL-TIME FAVORITES!!!
I read it at least twice a year (I'm going to have to get a back-up soon, lol!)... if you haven't guessed yet, I love everything Peter Pan and have quite a bit of a collection of it too... I believe that there might be another ARC of Tiger Lily with a different cover (UK?) and I'm looking for international copies too :)

Stacking the Shelves #87: March Book Haul Part 2

Hello fellow bookgeeks :)

Lately I have been drawing a blank on everything - there are no words coming out of my mouth, lol! I have a ton of thoughts; but when it comes time to speak to someone, text, or even write a book review... nothing! And I can't figure out why! SO frustrating!
I keep blaming it on lack of sleep, I'm too old to continue to only get about 4-5 hours a night. But with kids and worries, its been hard lately. And, I always have to read before rolling over and going to sleep - it's a habit that I don't want to ever break! But, that comes with consequences too; sometimes I get caught up in the book and time goes by... time that I could be catching a few extra z's.
So, my question for those of you who are in the same or similar position:
Do you put a time limit on your reading? Maybe a page/chapter limit?
I really need some guidance on time management ;)

Anywhooo... I received a few awesome books this week to make everything worthwhile :)

It snowed! AGAIN!!!
Look, I looove winter, sweaters, scarves and snow. But! I've had enough already, I need it to be spring when the calendar says it's suppose to be spring! Please!!!  My old bones can't handle the bitter cold anymore, lol!

It's been a rough couple of weeks for me. I just feel like I've been in this rut, a somber kind of mood, that's been hard to climb out of... I blame the germs we've had for so long. And the weather, of course...
