My SEPTEMBER Book Haul and Wrap Up, and my OCTOBER TBR 2018

Hello, friends!!! 

Is it just me, or does September feel like the longest and shortest month out of the whole year? It really feels like it takes forever to get through, but once the month ends, it feels like it went by so quickly, lol! It must be because it's "back-to-school" month for us and we're all just getting used to our new schedules and routines... it's been tough! Three kids in three different schools, I am now a full-time chauffeur and it's been hard - my anxiety is just not getting along... other than that, everyone is adjusting and doing well! Which is all I can ask for :)

Hello, friends!!! 

I really hope that you are all doing well and have been reading a lot of GOOD books!

I have to admit, my anxiety has been really bad lately and it is exhausting. I think I've been trying too hard, which then overwhelms me, and then I end up not accomplishing much of anything. I have a ton of ideas written down in a notebook, blog posts that are half-finished just sitting (over 40 of them!!!), pictures that sit on my phone and never get posted on Instagram... It's been an endless cycle. However! The motivation to get over the slump is strong and I hope to get back into the swing of things regularly... even with our school schedule starting next month! I feel it may be a good thing to have a busy schedule again!

My JUNE Book Haul, Wrap-Up, and JULY TBR (2018)

Hello, friends!!! 

SO happy to have made it through the month! June is always the busiest month of the year for us - busier than the holiday season with all the birthdays, lol! 
My kiddos finished school this month - all done with Pre-K, 6th grade, and 8th grade!
I'm trying not to think too much about the fall when school starts again... 
I'll have a kid in high school (hold me please! I'm really not ready for this!), a middle schooler and a kindergartener (hand me the tissues, please!)  
In the meantime, we have a lot of fun stay-at-home vacay plans, plus -  
swimming lessons, band lessons, foreign language and writing practice...
reading, movies, trips to local fun places!
I just need to catch up on a bit of sleep first, lol! 
SO happy to be able to sleep in for the next week :)

Hello, friends!!! 

It's that time of the year again - BookExpo and BookCon happened!
Did you go??? Did you follow the amazing happenings online???
I had planned on going to NYC for BookExpo, but life happens and I couldn't make it in. I was a little upset over it, but, hubs made me feel better about it by taking me out on a long overdue date night - bookstore and dinner! I was able to pick up a few classics and had the best diner burger ever! (I'll be sharing this haul in my June wrap-up post...)
 I also treated myself to pre-ordering a few of the books that I would have loved to have been able to get as ARCs at BookExpo - Broken Things by Lauren Oliver, Blanca & Roja by Anna-Marie McLemore and Spinning Circle by Naomi Novik... 
I saw a few books from people that went that I had to add to the top of my wishlist too - 
Tahereh Mafi's newest book, also The Priory of the Orange Tree sounds amazing even if the ARC is at over 800 pages, lol!
