Stacking the Shelves #90 - April Book Haul Part 2

Hello fellow bookgeeks!!!

I hope you are all doing wonderfully!

I took a 2-week break from writing/posting reviews. The pressure I was putting on myself to catch up was too much, and it was turning into an unwanted chore. I'm glad I took a break and just kept up with the fun posts/memes, read some great books and started up my old hobby of making/creating cards again!

Breaks and changes are good! I am so ready to get back into both reviewing and cardmaking again :)

I also received some ah-maaazing books too!
THE original hardcover edition of DELIRIUM!!! and, an italian paperback of SHIVER!!!
*flails*

*What I received for review...

Stacking the Shelves #89: March Book Haul Part 1

Hello fellow bookgeeks :)

Happy Easter, Happy Passover, Happy Spring!!!

I hope you are all doing beautifully!!!
Things have been slowly moving along around here - I am finally getting more sleep and better organized. For a moment there, my anxiety was really getting me down to the point where I was unable to even write a review without tearing up... but, with the help of some family, friends and booknerds, things are starting to look better and hopeful! I was finally able to catch up and get organized on my everyday life things. I've now begun reorganizing my blog/reading schedule and book events, and even typed up a few reviews recently. Everyone's tolerance levels are different and things can get real and quite overwhelming at times. It's good to be surrounded by people who will help remind me that it's okay to take a step back to catch my breath and not to care if anyone judged or saw my weakness. I'm feeling better about myself. And I plan on trying to keep my routine in check so things can stay this way - it's not only good for me, but for my kids and family as well. A cranky mom easily rubs off onto the kids, and boy, things can get messy really quick, lol!

You all are the best!!! Enjoy your weekend, and happy reading!!! xo

It's been such a long time since I have re-read this one! and I know that my kiddos are going to want to read along with me too! This is going on my pile since my boys are still in that stage were girls and anything to do with girls is still kind of icky, lol! but they'll still read it with me, because Mom's are the exception to the "no-girls-allowed" rule ;)

And here's what my kiddo's got this week :)

____________________________________________________

I was such a lucky girl this week!!!
My shelves are finally filling up and it makes me so very happy.
Long story short, on our last move we lost a lot of items, our living room and bedroom furniture and a lot of my books. But we were together and healthy and made the best of everything - and that is all that matters :)
I love doing these posts because it helps me see that no matter what happens, slowly but surely, you can always pick up the pieces and go back to doing what you love to do :)

SOOO, I just have to say, thank you!

Thank you for allowing me to share my books with you every week!
I don't do it to show-off, or gloat, or anything of the sort - even though some may see it that way.
I love these posts because it is such a fun way to show what I love to read, what I am going to be reading in the near future, my tastes and likes... it's also a good way to include my boys and their books too - they often sit with me to watch vlogs, they make suggestions, and they looove to critique book covers more than I do, lol!
And since I can't review every single book that I read, it's also a superb way to put a spotlight on books that other people may have not heard about and would love to add to their TBRs too...

Just sharing our love of books people! We love IMM days!!!
and be warned, we are looking to find a way to do our own vlogs soon too ;)

SOOO, what did you get in your mailbox this week???

In My Mailbox #12

"In My Mailbox" is a weekly meme created by
The idea is to post whatever 'books' you may have received from the week (before), whether you purchased them, gifted to you, borrowed, traded, etc.

Well, remember for the last few weeks I've been saying that I don't want to buy any more books because I have so many already! and I really want to read most of them before I get any more... sigh... but my shelves look so bare, and there were some super cheap prices at Best Bargain Books, and our tax refund came in, and... well, you know... !!! So it ended up being a pretty awesome week :)

Here's what I got:
Shiver and Linger by Maggie Stiefvater

 Ghostgirl by Tonya Hurley (paperback)
I am head-over-heels for this book! The girly pink/black theme, the shape of the book - it's rectangular!!! the illustrations and style - the whole story just captured my heart right on the spot! I cannot wait to finish this and try to track down the rest of the series! If you see them anywhere at a really good price, please let me know!

City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments Series #3 - paperback)
by Cassandra Clare

Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices #2 - hardcover)
also by Cassandra Clare
Funny story about this one - I meant to buy the first book and accidently bought the 2nd book, oops! So much for trying to start the series soon, lol! At least I'm prepared to continue with the series, right?! and should probably continue with The Mortal Instruments first...

AND, lastly, the first book that I ever bought through The Book Depository came in this week :)
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins (hardcover)

*Books I received for Review
Pretty Amy by Lisa Burstein (ebook) and
Kevin's Point of View by Del Shannon (Middle-grade/paperback)

And, lastly, but certainly not least - what my boys got this week :)
For my 5yo, the new Splat the Cat book, Secret Agent Splat by Rob Scotton.

And for my 8yo, Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney - which he finished in 3 days!!!
They love hardcover books just as much, if not more, than I do, lol!

Thanks for stopping by this week!!!

What did you get in your mailbox this week???
Don't forget to leave a link ;)
