'you don't ask the writer. You ask the reader."

Waiting On Wednesday #29: A Touch of Scarlet by Eve Marie Mont AND Dance of the Red Death by Bethany Griffin

"Waiting On Wednesday" is a weekly meme hosted by  Breaking the Spine.
This is were we get to 'spotlight' books that we are anxiously waiting to be released! The ones that we are dying to get our hands on and read into the wee hours of the night and, quite possibly, to make our shelves look all pretty too :)

What I'm waiting on...

(Unbound #2)
by Eve Marie Mont
Expected release date: March 26th, 2013

SUMMARY

The compelling heroine of Eve Marie Mont’s novel A Breath of Eyre returns to find truth and fiction merging through the pages of Nathaniel Hawthorne’s classic, The Scarlet Letter…

Emma Townsend is back at prestigious Lockwood Prep, but her world has altered immeasurably since her tumultuous sophomore year. The best change of all: her boyfriend, Gray. And though Gray is leaving for Coast Guard training, Emma feels newly optimistic, even if the pain of her mother’s long-ago death still casts a shadow.

Yet Emma isn’t the only one who’s changed. Her friend and roommate, Michelle, is strangely remote, and old alliances are shifting in disconcerting ways. Soon Emma’s long-distance relationship with Gray is straining under the pressure, and Emma wonders if she’s cracking too. How else to explain the vivid dreams of Hester Prynne she’s been having since she started reading The Scarlet Letter? Or the way she’s found herself waking in the woods? As her life begins to echo events in the novel, Emma will be forced to choose between virtue and love. But can she forge a new future without breaking her heart?

Why I'm waiting on A TOUCH OF SCARLET...

I really enjoyed A Breath of Eyre!
And this one sounds even better - so many things going on...
and why is she being sucked into another book? How???

And isn't the cover lovely?!
Can't wait!!!

AND, I'm also waiting on....

(Masque of the Red Death #2)
by Bethany Griffin
Expected release date: April 23rd, 2013

SUMMARY

Araby Worth is poised either to save her city, or to abandon it. In a novel that embodies dark, sexy, tragic, and fearless, Bethany Griffin concludes her incredible, atmospheric reimagining of Edgar Allan Poe’s classic short story.

Araby Worth’s city is on fire.
Her brother is dead.
Her best friend could be soon.
Her mother is a prisoner, her father is in hiding.
And the two boys who stole her heart have both betrayed her.
But Araby has found herself, and she is going to fight back.

Inspired by one of Edgar Allan Poe’s most compelling stories, “The Masque of the Red Death,” Bethany Griffin has spun two sultry and intricate novels about a young woman who finds herself on the brink of despair but refuses to give in.
Decadent masquerades, steamy stolen moments, and sweeping action are set in a city crumbling from neglect and tragedy. A city that seeps into your skin. Dance of the Red Death is the riveting conclusion to the dark and fascinating saga of an unforgettable heroine.

Why I'm waiting on DANCE OF THE RED DEATH...

Oh my, would you look at the cover - it's stunning!!!

And it says, CONCLUDES!!!
The conclusion?! Only TWO books?!
A definite must read :) Can't wait!!!

Sooo, what are you waiting on right now???

This is going on my pile since my boys are still in that stage were girls and anything to do with girls is still kind of icky, lol! but they'll still read it with me, because Mom's are the exception to the "no-girls-allowed" rule ;)

And here's what my kiddo's got this week :)

____________________________________________________

I was such a lucky girl this week!!!
My shelves are finally filling up and it makes me so very happy.
Long story short, on our last move we lost a lot of items, our living room and bedroom furniture and a lot of my books. But we were together and healthy and made the best of everything - and that is all that matters :)
I love doing these posts because it helps me see that no matter what happens, slowly but surely, you can always pick up the pieces and go back to doing what you love to do :)

SOOO, I just have to say, thank you!

Thank you for allowing me to share my books with you every week!
I don't do it to show-off, or gloat, or anything of the sort - even though some may see it that way.
I love these posts because it is such a fun way to show what I love to read, what I am going to be reading in the near future, my tastes and likes... it's also a good way to include my boys and their books too - they often sit with me to watch vlogs, they make suggestions, and they looove to critique book covers more than I do, lol!
And since I can't review every single book that I read, it's also a superb way to put a spotlight on books that other people may have not heard about and would love to add to their TBRs too...

Just sharing our love of books people! We love IMM days!!!
and be warned, we are looking to find a way to do our own vlogs soon too ;)

SOOO, what did you get in your mailbox this week???
