"To find out what a story's really about,' the Librarian said,

'you don't ask the writer. You ask the reader."

Waiting on Wednesday #125: THE REST OF US JUST LIVE HERE by Patrick Ness (YA)

"Waiting On Wednesday" is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine.

This is where we get to 'spotlight' books that we are anxiously waiting to be released!!!
The ones that we are dying to get our hands on and read into the wee hours of the night!!!
And, quite possibly, to make our shelves look pretty too :)

What I'm currently waiting for...

by Patrick Ness
Expected release date: October 6th, 2015
Published by Harper Teen
Genre: Young Adult Contemporary
Format: Hardcover, eBook

U.S. Hardcover Book Cover
SUMMARY

What if you weren’t the Chosen One?

What if you’re not the one who’s so often the hero in YA fiction; who’s supposed to fight the zombies, or the soul-eating ghosts, or whatever this new thing is, with the blue lights and the death?

What if you were like Mikey?

Who just wants to graduate and go to prom and maybe finally work up the courage to ask Henna out before someone goes and blows up the high school.
Again.

Because sometimes there are problems bigger than this week’s end of the world and sometimes you just have to find the extraordinary in your ordinary life.

Even if your best friend might just be the God of mountain lions.

Why I'm waiting for THE REST OF US JUST LIVE HERE...

First - I'm not the "Chosen One"???

Second - because it's Patrick Ness!!!
Who wrote A Monster Calls and broke me for forever...
I need to read more of his words!

Lastly - because I don't know what the US cover is going to look like yet, and I don't care!
And you all know that I'm a cover snob - so, this means a lot! lol

SO, what are you waiting for right now!?!?

  1. I loved Patrick Ness' Chaos Walking trilogy (I still need to read the 3rd book though) and I have A Monster Calls on my TBR pile, but I love his writing so I'm really looking forward to this! EEK!
