'you don't ask the writer. You ask the reader."

Beehive Book Haul and News #45: 2 Week Update Edition

So, it's been over 2 weeks since I've posted anything worthwhile... I'm still "sick in bed" and it totally sucks.
And what's worse, I haven't been able to read {sobs!} I get headaches and then feel dizzy when I try to read a few pages, kinda not worth the pain right now :(
This means, unfortunately, I'm not going to have many reviews posted for a while.
This also means, that I may be looking for someone to help out with all the review books that I have received (mostly middle grade few YA). It's a thought that I have had for a few months now, and now due to circumstances, this idea sounds mighty good. Would be nice to partner up with someone, even if it is just for a temporary amount of time.

I hope you guys have all had a great week in books :)

This is what I have received in the last 2 1/2 weeks...

I'm participating in Stacking the ShelvesThe Sunday Post and Showcase Sunday :)

What I received for review...
- Wish (Faerieground #1) by Beth Bracken and Kay Fraser (MG)
- Nobody's Secret by Michaela MacColl (YA)

What I won...
- Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles #2) (signed) by Marissa Meyer (YA) from Tt of Never Ending Stories Book Blog :)
- If You Find Me (won) by Emily Murdoch (YA)
- Breadcrumbs by Anne Ursu (MG) from Walden Pond Press Media

From Heather of Fire and Ice:
- Shut Out (ARC) by Kody Keplinger (YA)
- The Dead Girls Detective Agency (ARC) by Suzy Cox (YA)
- Ask the Passengers (ARC) by A.S. King (YA)

What I purchased...
Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick (Adult)

  1. Sorry to hear you're still sick! :( I've had spells like that as well where I couldn't read at all, and they are pure torture. Have you tried audiobooks? You can usually get them at the library, and even if it's something you've already read but love, it might perk up your spirits at least a little. Feel better soon! I'll be praying for you.

I'm currently reading Scarlet now and loving it and I just finished If You Find Me... it's AMAZING! Totally exceeded my expectations. I need to pick up Shut Out, I loved The DUFF so I think I will really enjoy Kody Keplinger's other novels; her writing style is awesome! I hope you enjoy all your books and can read some of them soon!
