MY THOUGHTS

I have to be honest, I usually don't like faces on covers - but I have to be even more honest:
This one is absolutely gorgeous and one of my favorites of this year!
She's so pretty! And the colors and font are amazing!
I really do love it!

I don't read much by indie authors lately - there are only a few that I like and follow with a true and dedicated kind of fandom, lol! And J. Meyers is definitely one of my faves! I highly suggest reading her series and keeping an eye out for her :)

SUMMARY
Perhaps the most dangerous person to gain unimaginable power is the one who feels oppressed.

And full of wrath.

For very good reason.

MY REVIEW

INDOMITABLE is a day in the life and shoes of Jona's - a powerful vampire that was expected to kill the prophesied twins when they were babies. But, Jonas doesn't hurt innocents.... but why?
Jona's is one of the most powerful vampires who claims to not have a care in the world.
So why did he spare these babies... and why didn't he do anything to them as teens in INTANGIBLE???

In INDOMITABLE, we find out why.
We are brought back to what happened to him and his sister all those years ago. How he was created. What he did. And what his purpose was going to be.

It's heartbreaking. I needed tissues.

I liked Jonas' character already - and now, my heart aches for him. And I cannot wait to read more about him.

It is not necessary to read this before INTANGIBLE. But, I'm sure that after you do read INTANGIBLE, you are going to want more of Jonas and how he came to be.

I am really looking forward to book two to this series! I don't read or follow many self-published authors, but I do know that wherever J. Meyers publishes it will always be on the top of my list!

You can get Indomitable by J. Meyers  for .99 on Amazon right now!

MY REVIEW

This book has it all! Superb writing, amazing story-line, suspense, action...
vampires, faeries, elves and prophesied twins, Luke and Sera!
Luke and Sera have always known that they were different. Since they were very little, they knew that they had to protect each other and must do what they have to do to keep their special abilities a secret from everyone, including their parents. They only have and trust each other.
And then Luke has a vision of Sera being killed by a mysterious being. He has never been able to keep his visions from coming true. And this is one vision that he is determined to find a way to stop... one that he feels he must do alone. He must protect his sister from knowing, from dying.
From then on, odd people keep showing up around Luke and Sera. They're being watched... followed.
Who are these people? What do they want?

As the story unfolds, we get to see everything through two sets of eyes, Luke's and Sera's. Each chapter switches from one twin to the other. The connection between these two makes their world so realistic and the jump from one point of view to the next was easy to follow and kept the momentum going.

I don't want to get into details because of possible spoilers.

This is a wonderful story for J. Meyers to debut with!
I highly recommend jumping into this series and reading this book today!

I highly recommend reading Intuition, a FREE prequel short story to  Intangible...

In My Mailbox Sunday #8

"In My Mailbox" is a weekly meme created by
The Story Siren -
The idea is to post whatever 'books' you may have received from the week (before), whether you purchased them, gifted to you, borrowed, traded, etc.

Hi there :)
It's been an awesome book week for me! The best one yet!!!

Don't they look pretty??? hee, hee
As you can see, I have an empty shelf that needs filling ;)

First, if you see the post below this one, you'll see that I went to Books of Wonder last Thursday and met Jess Rothenberg, the author of The Catastrophic History of You and Me, and got a signed copy of it :)

While at Books of Wonder, I was also able to pick up an already signed copy of Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood!!! Woo hoo!
See, there was a reason why I was not able to get my hands on this book before, lol!

And while shopping at Target, I was able to pick this one up on sale...
Soul Screamers Volume One by Rachel Vincent

At the time I had no idea that this book contained:
My Soul to Lose (Book #0.5), My Soul to Take (Book #1)
AND My Soul to Save (Book #2)
SO happy I got it!!!

And I had ordered a hardback of Graceling by Kristin Cashore.

There are some books that I just need to have on my shelf,
and this is one of them!
I read the eBook when it first came out, I can't wait to re-read it :)
