Waiting On Wednesdsay #113: FINDING PARIS by Joy Preble (YA)

"Waiting On Wednesday" is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine.

This is where we get to 'spotlight' books that we are anxiously waiting to be released!!!
The ones that we are dying to get our hands on and read into the wee hours of the night!!!
And, quite possibly, to make our shelves look pretty too :)

What I'm currently waiting for...

by Joy Preble
Expected release date: April 21st, 2015
Published by: Balzer + Bray (Harper Collins)
Genre: Young Adult Contemporary
Format: Hardcover, eBook

A page-turning, evocative novel for fans of THIRTEEN REASONS WHY and SPEAK, about a girl who must follow a trail of mysterious clues to discover what happened to her sister.

Sisters Leo and Paris Hollings have only ever had each other to rely on. They can’t trust their mother, who hops from city to city and from guy to guy, or their gambler stepfather, who’s moved them all to Las Vegas. It’s just the two of them: Paris, who’s always been the dreamer, and Leo, who has a real future in mind — going to Stanford, becoming a doctor, falling in love.

But Leo isn’t going anywhere yet…
until Paris ditches her at the Heartbreak Hotel Diner, where moments before they had been talking with physics student Max Sullivan. Outside, Leo finds a cryptic note from Paris — a clue.

Is it some kind of game? Where is Paris, and why has she disappeared?

When Leo reluctantly accepts Max’s offer of help, the two find themselves following a string of clues through Vegas and beyond. But the search for the truth is a not a straight line. And neither is the path to secrets Leo and Max hold tightly.

Why I'm waiting on FINDING PARIS...

First... let's all take a moment to gaze at this awesome bookcover!

Next... sounds like a good Vegas scavenger hunt is going to happen!
Leo the responsible sister has to go find Paris, the seemingly partier, and then what?

Lastly... I really, really enjoyed Joy Preble's SWEET DEAD LIFE books!
A new twist to angel lore, family life, relationships and heartbreak - if you haven't read them yet, you should get them first!!!

SO!!! What are your waiting for?!?!?!

  1. Haven't heard of this one. Will have to look into it. Enjoy! My WOW

  2. Love these kinds of books! I'm in. :)

  3. This doesn't sound like something I'd normally pick up, but I do love roadtrip stories, so maybe I'll give this one a shot. ;)
