Waiting On Wednesday #56: TUMBLE & FALL by Alexandra Coutts

"Waiting On Wednesday" is a weekly meme hosted by  Breaking the Spine.
This is were we get to 'spotlight' books that we are anxiously waiting to be released! The ones that we are dying to get our hands on and read into the wee hours of the night and, quite possibly, to make our shelves look all pretty too :)

What I'm waiting on...

by Alexandra Coutts
Expected release date: September 17th, 2013
Published by: Farrar, Straus & Giroux (BYR)
Genre: Young Adult

SUMMARY

A novel about the end of days full of surprising beginnings.

The world is living in the shadow of oncoming disaster. An asteroid is set to strike the earth in just one week’s time; catastrophe is unavoidable.
The question isn’t how to save the world — the question is, what to do with the time that's left?

Against this stark backdrop, three island teens wrestle with intertwining stories of love, friendship and family — all with the ultimate stakes at hand.

Alexandra Coutts's TUMBLE & FALL is a powerful story of courage, love, and hope at the end of the world.

Why I'm waiting on TUMBLE & FALL...

This books just sounds way too realistic to me -
I usually stay away from stories that can possibly come true.
Yes, I'm one who tries to live in a small bubble, denial.

BUT, everything about this book just screams read-me-now!
And the cover! One of my faves of this year :)

So, what are you waiting on this week???

  1. This one kinda sounds like the teen version of the movie Melancholia with Kristin Dunst! I really liked that movie, so I might like this one as well!
