It's been a long week!
Although, we did have some warmish days, now we're back to freezing and possibly getting another snowstorm on Monday :p
But, at least we have a lot of great books to keep us comfy!
SO! I've decided that me and my ol' blog need to get back to our roots and start reading, reviewing, promoting, etc. fairytale-ish books and retellings again! We have strayed too far my friends and I really want to go back to what I love the most! Yes, I still love contemporary, and will probably still read a lot of that - and I'm on the hunt for good fantasy and new adult too. BUT, I need more fairytales in my life right now!!!
PLEASE, give me your recommendations!!!
What retellings/fairytales have you read recently and loved???
Or, which ones have you heard of and want to hear more about???
Share with me :)

Good luck in your quest for new and better fairy tales retold. I hope Towering works for you, it was not a fit for me. I hope you enjoy all your new reads:)
ReplyDeleteRetellings/fairytales wise, I'm quite a fan of Robin McKinley's work. She's done two separate takes on Beauty and the Beast. Looks like an interesting bunch of books this week, enjoy!
ReplyDeleteMy StS.
I have THE TAKING for review, it sounds good.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading.
Ooh, strangely I don't think I've heard of any of these. Loving the cover of Eleanor though. New follower, hi!

Nice haul. I am behind on the Lux series, have only got to book 2 but am hoping to continue the series soon. I hope you enjoy all your books :) My STS.
ReplyDeleteI've got V is for Villain on my stack this week, too! It was such a fun read (buuuut, a little cliche, I have to admit). Have you read Jackson Pearce's fairy tale rewrites? And Marissa Meyer's? I love both of those. My StS!
ReplyDeleteNice haul. Mark of the Dragonfly and Towering are two that I still really need to sit down and read. Enjoy and Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteHere are my newest additions.
