Feature & Follow #4

"Feature and Follow" is a weekly meme hosted by the wonderful and sweet girls of Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read!!!
Please stop by their blogs to say HI and get all the deets from them too!!!

It's been a long while since I've been able to participate in "Feature & Follow", and even though I have about 10 reviews to finish and post, I haven't been in the mood, having the sickies kinda swept everything away this week, lol!

So, this week's "Feature & Follow" questions is:

Q: Do you read one book at a time or do you switch back and forth between two or more?

Hmmm... at first, I wanted to answer this with a big fat YES!
but, maybe it's not a solid yes, lol, and here's why...

I tend to start 3 or 4 books at a time and then go with the one that calls out to me the most and read straight on through! and then I'll pick out another from those 3 or 4 until the pile is gone.
Once the pile is gone, I pick out another few and start my weird little process all over again, lol!

So, I guess that technically I do read one book at a time after I've started a few first ;)

I've tried reading more than one at a time - an actual book on my book-stand, one on my Nook, one on the computer... but it was too hard and then I was wondering where my characters where and what world I was jumping into and it would take a while before I was able to remember what I was reading... it all got a bit too confusing for my tired old brain, lol! Can you imagine what my reviews would sound like? hee hee...
I bow to those that can multi-task their books :)

What about you? Do you read one at a time???

PS, what do you think of my blog's makeover???
I am totally in love with it! I really think that Lori captured me perfectly :)
Thank you, Lori!!!

  1. I read multiple books but I try to keep the genres different to avoid confusion. Normally I can manage fairly well that way.

  2. I wish I could. I get all mixed up when I try.

  3. I end up getting just as confused when I read more than 1 book at a time. Details are lost and I forget which story line I'm reading. I understand starting a couple and then picking 1 from that pile, I've don't that several times myself.

  8. That's a pretty good idea! I don't really do that a lot, since I like to organize my reading according to my blog posts (I post every day, but some posts are song posts since I have a song/book blog) and thus I read one book at a time. But I'll read more if I need to for school, or for a book tour or a review book. Then I'll just read that and a leisure book.

So mad to be your 499th follower! Why couldn't somebody have followed before me! Then I could have been your 500th! But congratulations!
