My Friday Find #2

TIGF bookie friends!!!
Since today is Friday, I have another My Friday Find to share with you too!!!
This is my own little feature/meme for today!
and yes, I do have more reviews coming up! Just finishing them up :)

Ok, so this week while I was stalking perusing around book-blog-land,
I kept bumping into this new book... it was just released on January 16th...

Fracture by Megan Miranda

"Eleven minutes passed...
before Delaney Maxwell was pulled from the icy waters of a Maine lake by her best friend, Decker Phillips. By then, her heart had stopped beating. Her brain had stopped working. She was dead.
And yet, she somehow defied medical precedent to come back seemingly fine - despite the scams that showed significant brain damage.
Everyone wants Delaney to be all right, but she knows she's far from normal. Pulled by strange sensations she can't control or explain, Delaney finds herself drawn to the dying. Is her altered brain now predicting death, or causing it?

Then Delaney meets Troy Varga, who recently emerged from a coma with similar abilities. At first, she's reassured to find someone who understands the strangeness of her new existence, but Delaney soon discovers that Troy's motives aren't quite what she thought.
Is their gift a miracle, a freak of nature - or something much more frightening?"

First - look at that cover with the double image and scenery, it just draws me in!
Next - the girl was dead. Permanent brain damage. BUT, she SEEMS fine... how is she fine when all things medically speaking claim that she has severe brain damage? Isn't 5 minutes the max? How does a doctor classify that? Is she freaking out over it?

I have SO many questions already!!!

And lastly - a boy with similar abilites.
Hee hee, a book is never complete with some sort of 'boy' causing trouble, right?!

oh! and how do you all feel about books having trailers...

I always thought of trailers for movies, not books.
I still don't know how I feel about it, lol! Sometimes I watch them, sometimes I don't -
I really want to read about and get a feel for it myself...

I hope to read this one soon!
What books did you find this week?!?!

  1. O.M.G. The trailer totally did it for me! (So often they don't, but this was a good one!) TFS!

  2. Trailers for books? You mean visual, not the physical delivery system... LOL Wow, this book looks interesting. I drowned once, and was resuscitated. This might be enlightening!

  3. Looks good. Looking forward to your review.
I've found lots of books this week - but all second-hand children's books I will be posting about them in the coming weeks.

  5. I saw the trailer for this book on TV - and I'm intriqued by the premise. I think trailers for books might be a really good idea, they may help books get noticed by someone who might not have otherwise stopped and looked at it.
