Waiting On Wednesday #109: VIVIAN APPLE AT THE END OF THE WORLD by Katie Coyle (YA)

"Waiting On Wednesday" is a weekly meme hosted by  Breaking the Spine.

This is where we get to 'spotlight' books that we are anxiously waiting to be released! The ones that we are dying to get our hands on and read into the wee hours of the night and, quite possibly, to make our shelves look all pretty too :)

What I'm waiting for...

by Katie Coyle
Expected release date: January 6th, 2015
Published by: HMH Books for Young Readers
Genre: Young Adult Dystopian
Format: Hardcover, eBook

SUMMARY

Seventeen-year-old Vivian Apple never believed in the evangelical Church of America, unlike her recently devout parents.

But when Vivian returns home the night after the supposed "Rapture," all that’s left of her parents are two holes in the roof. Suddenly, she doesn't know who or what to believe.

With her best friend Harp and a mysterious ally, Peter, Vivian embarks on a desperate cross-country roadtrip through a paranoid and panic-stricken America to find answers.
Because at the end of the world, Vivan Apple isn't looking for a savior.
She's looking for the truth.

Why I'm waiting for VIVIAN APPLE AT THE END OF THE WORLD...

First, is the cover amazing! Font, colors and all!!!

Next... the "Rapture" actually happens!... or it sounds like it does.

Lastly - ROADTRIP!!!
Yes, I know that it's probably not going to be a "fun" kind of road trip due to the "Rapture" and the loss of her parents, etc... but still!

SO, what are you waiting to get your hands on now?!?!
