Hello my book friends!
As many of you know, I have been "sick" and homebound for over a month now. And during this time, I have not been able to read or spend much time on the internet since it makes me dizzy and more tired.
I have not been able to post much or keep up with my reading and blogging schedule, and I sincerely apologize for this. And I am SO very sorry for the tours, updates, etc. that I have missed during this time too.
It's finally time for me to admit that I need to take a permanent blogging break.
I don't know how long it will be for. Maybe a few more weeks... but it could be months :(
I miss you all so very much! The book community is one of the most caring and understandable communities I have ever been a part of! And I truly appreciate all of you that have reached out to me with concern!
I am really missing my books and reading time! My family has never seen me not reading or carrying around a book, they know I must be feeling really crummy not to, and it hurts them just as much. I have the best husband, kiddos, parents, sister and brother-in-law ever! I don't know how I would manage without them all!...
I am so sad to have also been missing out on a few local signings and events, mainly Jen Calonita's 'The Grass is Always Greener' signing this past week - she is such a fab author, you should all check out her Belles Series pronto!
And I'm also sad to finally have to say that I will probably not be up to going to BEA this year. It is such a privilege to be allowed to attend. And I am going to miss seeing so many wonderful faces this year.
Also, a quick shout out to Mike at The Subtle Chronicler! He is a great book blogger and reviewer and deserves much more attention than he has received. I asked him to review a few books for me and he was so sweet to say yes! Here is his review of The Namesake by Steven Parlato... please stop by and leave a comment! Thank you! and thank you Mike for your help!!!
Last but not least... I have received an amazing stack of books this month from so many wonderful

Awww, well. Sometimes we all need to take a step back in order to take a step forward. I know how you feel! I haven't felt the need to take one yet, as my blog is only four months old. But, you deserve a break!
ReplyDeleteI love the books you got! I need to get my hands on The Elite. The Boyfriend App is pretty good. I have Golden - need to read that one. I hope you enjoy everything that you got!
Check out my STS post!

ReplyDeleteFirst off! I do hope you feel better and that everything ends up well with you! We better keep in touch so I do know how you are doing!

Great haul! The Resurrectionist looks amazing! I read Life After Theft and enjoyed it and am reading and loving Golden. I haven't read In Honor, yet, but am definitely going to check out Jessi Kirby's other books now. The Sisterhood of Heartbreakers was an interesting book. I liked it, but it was different from what I was expecting. Happy reading! Here's My STS
ReplyDeleteAww, I hope you feel better soon, Margie! It's probably a good idea that you're taking a break, though. It'll allow you to get better so that you can come back sooner. =) But you did get a ton of awesome books lately!! I've heard great things about Life After Theft, and I'm excited to see what happens in The Elite. There have been phenomenal reviews of Golden so far, so I'm super excited to read that one. Same goes for The Boyfriend App.
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon, Margie, and I hope to see you back soon!!

No worries- real life trumps blogging, every day. I hope you feel better soon....and maybe books on tape will be a good compromise, with the not-reading? *hugs*
