I looooove the old covers - nothing can ever replace my love for them and what they stand for!!!
BUT, this is for the new generation of Harry Potter fans!
The kiddos who haven't met Harry, Ron and Hermione yet!
The things they will learn!
The love!
The heartache!
My oldest is now at the age where he can read these -
and I am SO excited to be able to get his own set, with the new covers!
We, of course, love the new look!
Can't wait to through the journey again, but this time around, through my sons eyes :)
It will be like reading them for the first time again ;)

ReplyDeleteThere's something sentimental about the old covers, but I really, really like the new one. I think it's new enough but yet still keeps with the theme of the old covers so it's not completely different. You're right about the new generation :) Hopefully they'll like Harry as much as we do!

So many people are complaining about the new cover, but I love it. Like you said, nothing can ever replace your love of the originals, but I think this is amazing. I'd be happy to have this on my shelf! :-)
